Tea Time

The ladies had some friends over yesterday for tea.

Beach Camping

This summer the girls where introduced to camping with Babci and Dziadzi at Hammonasset Beach State Park. I have to admit, i was hesitant to go at first, full days at the beach with breaks back at the camp ground had me anxious. What if they hated it, what if it was too hot, what if Zoe still couldn't stand beach sand, what if, what if, what if. I am happy to report, it was a success. We did go back home to sleep at night, but we normally where back in the car in the morning heading to the campground/beach. It appears Zoe has gotten over her aversion the the sand (thank god), last summer she hated anytime we spent on, or near sand. This time she was all over throwing it, digging in it, and sitting on it. Maddy, like last year was knee deep in sand and water the moment she hit the beach. We're lucky to have two kids that love the water.

Snap

While the rest of us where busy picking berries, Miss Zoe got to my camera. I love this shot. I do have to mention I deleted 30 or 40 other random shots, of the sky, her head, her fingers, the sky, and more sky. Our budding photographer.

Raspberry Picking

Summer time raspberry picking - yum! The girls, Megan, and I set out to pick berries last week. Maddy has talent when it comes to picking the berries off the bushes, she plucked them like a champ. Zoe, plucked and ate as she went and then pillaged everyone else's baskets.

Corn Husking

Spinning

We have undertaken the sport of cycling, okay triking, okay at this point sitting on the trikes and Mommy and Daddy pushing.

I had fun watching the girls try on their helmets at the store, here they are smiles, shortly there after they tested the helmets out by hitting each other on the head - good times, a little crying, a little pushing, and some quick walking on my part out of the store - - ah, my angels . . .

Success

On Our Way

On our way for ice creme in Old Forge, 4th of July weekend.

Mister Bear

Meet Mister Bear, he has been Zoe's trusted friend since almost the beginning. Mister Bear goes everywhere, this is a portrait taken at the park as he was getting ready to slide.

Tubby Talk

In last nights tub, the girls used their popsicle sticks as "paint brushes". They each claimed a side of the tub as their own and began to "paint" with water. The sweet part was, each would ask "can I paint on your wall", and when I asked what they where painting Maddy said my family . . . awwwww . . . and Zoe said mountains, and then they went on to tell me all about the different animals they where drawing.

Who needs paint, and paint brushes when all you need is a tub of warm water and popsicle sticks.
