Track & Field

Our little future Olympians. Not bad form, the girls at the JD track running around with my folks.

Bald Mountain

We completed our first family hike last week. The girls loved the views from Bald Mountain.

Mail Boat

The chain of lakes starting in Old Forge have a summer mail boat for residents. Maddy and Grandma spent a early morning this August waiting to see the mail boat come by.

Wild

There is a wonderful place called The Wild Center that opened up in Tupper Lake last year. Lots of nature trails for kids, huge tanks of fish, turtles, otters, the girls loved it. They spent a LOT of time watching the various animals.

Quack . . Quack . . Quack

Maddy found new friends up in Old Forge this August. She even has the walk down.

Summer Fun

Zoe out in the yard trying to push the stroller.

Thanks Jen!

All this talk about Zoe and sand, and all this time we have had awesome hand-me-down water shoes from our friend Jen. To think it's August and we just broke these out! Zoe is quite content to stand in sand, with these babies on!

The Cape

Maddy spent most of her time rolling in sand, or eating it. Zoe on the other hand did all she could to not touch the sand with any part of her body. Babcia makes for a good beach chair.

Over Rated!

Boat rides are over rated, especially when you have to wear these dumb life jackets!

Such Joy

Maddy loved the beach at the Cape. Lots of sand, and open space to run, run, run (away from the seagulls).

Babcia + Dziadzia

My folks with the girls at the Cape.

Hanging with Uncle Mike

A day at the Cape, checking out the harbor seals.

So Sweet!

I caught this last week, we where getting ready for a wagon ride. Zoe thought it best to bring both bears.

Pool Time

We spent a week in Cape Cod this summer. Zoe was not a fan of the sand, but she did love the pool in the afternoon - - far, far, far away from the beach.

x2

We are quickly learning that sometimes it's just better to get two of a toy. The girls had a serious battle over a baby stroller at a friends house prior to this picture. We made sure to get two of the same to avert any black eyes.

A Penny For Your Thoughts

That Seagull is too close for comfort!

Car Time

This thing won't start!

Corn!

Bring on the corn, it's our ultimate favorite this summer!

Push! Push!

It took Claire some extra time getting the girls back home after swinging out back. They are now all about pushing the wagon verses riding in it.

Big Time

The girls are now if forward facing seats, they LOVE giggling and pointing at things out the window. I do have to admit, it's a bit more complicated now on longer rides. I find myself constantly fishing for things they drop, drop, and drop again.

Hello? Hello?

Once at the Hoehn cottage, Maddy took a few business calls. Things don't always stop at the River.

Captain Maddy

Miss Maddy on her first boat ride ever . . . on the river . . . off to the Hoehn cottage, what could be better?!

Scribble, Scribble, Scribble

The girls have had a blast learning to color with Katie. We'll miss her very much, but VT is not that far away and we'll be sure to send our master pieces to her as well.
