Goats

The girls had a blast this weekend feeding animals at a local farm. Lots of pumpkins, animals, and giggles.

Balloooooon

It's amazing how many books, and places in this world have balloons. "Balloon, balloon, balloon is the call we hear these days. Our local grocery store has free balloons for kids on weekends. Maddy finds this both joyful, and a bit stressful while shopping. She has her own balloon, but why does every other kid in the store have one? She likes to point out every balloon we see.

Last weekend, as we got out of the car the balloon made it's escape . . . up, up, up it went. That day, Maddy spent a good chunk of it telling us "balloon . . up" while pointing. She actually said "balloon" in her sleep.

This weekend, Maddy and Mommy spent the day together. Zoe helped Dad get things ready for the winter at camp. It was a gorgeous day out, we went to a local state park for a long walk. Lots of leaves, lots of "doooogs", made for a fun time. About mid-way around the lake I hear Maddy saying "balloooon", and of course I say "no honey" balloon is at home. Needless to say, I turn left and of course . . . there is a balloon floating on the water . . . they're always right . . . I'm still learning that . . . hahahahahaha!

book, book, book!

We live with two little "book" terrorists. At any given point during the day, the girls have a book in hand or they are selecting one. Don't get us wrong, we love that they are so into books but reading "Good morning Cape Cod" (thanks Aunt Meg) for the 50th time during the day is a little tough. Thankfully they are tiring of that particular book, we are now onto any book that has a "doooooog" in it. It's like someone flipped a switch this summer, and all of a sudden they actively got into books.

Maddy has also gotten really good at following us around saying "read, read, read"! - oiy!

Mousing Around

A little early morning mousing around.
