Saftey of the Blanket

Beach time at GreenLakes Park. Maddy by the end of the visit had sand in her hair, mouth, clothes, etc. Zoe, once again prefered the safety of the blanket. She was very unimpressed with the sand.

Father's Day

Who needs a bath? We did a fun painting activity for Father's day. Maddy thought the paint was the best thing since sliced bread, Zoe really did not prefer the feeling of it on her hands or body.

zzzzzzzzzzzz

Lots of driving, makes for sleepy girls.

Rainy Day Lunch

We spent a day at the mall while visiting my folks, the weather was a bit dicey. Dziadzi took us to Build-a-Bear, and then to lunch at the RainForest Cafe. Little to say, I was over stimulated at the end of that trip!

Done

Sand, sun, lunch, ice creme . . . who needs a nap?

Sunglass Fun

Sunglasses at breakfast are a hit.

Requests . .

Mini Elton John will now take your requests . . . .

Beach Crab

Maddy having fun with the shadows on the beach, this entertained her for a good chunk of time.

Sand

Maddy approves of the beach, even the way sand tastes.

The Beach

It took a little while for the girls to warm up to their first beach trip. As you can see they sat in chairs first until Maddy decided sand was actually fun, Zoe on the other hand opted for the boardwalk. She didn't want to have anything to do with the sand - anything.

Grass Part II

Zoe; however, hardly left the safety of the blanket. She didn't much care for grass between her toes.

Grass

We recently spent a week at my parents house. Their grass is perfect, which Maddy really enjoyed crawling all over.

Pushing Paper

. . . the baby way. Who needs walkers if you can get into the paper cabinet.

5 seconds

It took Zoe 10 seconds to climb into the drawer the other day while I was on the phone. I was literally 2 feet away. She recently loves to sit in any box, basket, or drawer . . . lots of tears when we remove her. Mean parents!

Bear Love

My talented friend Karrie made these awesome felt bears for the girls. They love to climb all over them, and share lots and lots of love - and the occasional kick, bite, and spit-up.

Apart

Anything they can get their hands on these days to empty or pull apart they do, especially the playroom floor.

Practice, Practice, Practice Part II

If you lend a hand, they'll walk anywhere with you. Babcia and Dziadzi where up for a weekend visit. The girls got a chance to practice their moves a LOT that weekend.

Keeping Cool

We had some HOT days in May, the girls really loved splashing around. Zoe cried when we took her out of the pool. I hope they love the water as much as we do when they grow up.

Sweetness!

Such sweetness, she has gotten into giving hugs these days . . . just melts your heart, awwwww!

Dinner III

What can I say . . . hahahahhahahaha!

Dinner Part II

If you don't want to eat it, clearly you can also wear it - ugh!

Dinner Part I

These days we hardly get a night without a tubby. As you can see Maddy likes to eat, and also paint with her food. I'm amazed at all the places we find bits of food on her!

And the Winner Is . . .

Maddy! . . . she hustled up the driveway leaving Zoe in the dust!

Practice, Practice, Practice

Crawling quickly led to using walkers in May. They have gotten really good, I imagine they'll be walking by early July if not sometime this month.

Here I Come

The month of April and May where full of lots and lots of crawling. Zoe started first, and became lightning fast. She particularly got a kick out of crawling under the bar stools in the kitchen. My apologies for the gap in postings, as you can imagine things get a little busy - ha!
