Beach Camping
This summer the girls where introduced to camping with Babci and Dziadzi at Hammonasset Beach State Park. I have to admit, i was hesitant to go at first, full days at the beach with breaks back at the camp ground had me anxious. What if they hated it, what if it was too hot, what if Zoe still couldn't stand beach sand, what if, what if, what if. I am happy to report, it was a success. We did go back home to sleep at night, but we normally where back in the car in the morning heading to the campground/beach. It appears Zoe has gotten over her aversion the the sand (thank god), last summer she hated anytime we spent on, or near sand. This time she was all over throwing it, digging in it, and sitting on it. Maddy, like last year was knee deep in sand and water the moment she hit the beach. We're lucky to have two kids that love the water.

Spinning
We have undertaken the sport of cycling, okay triking, okay at this point sitting on the trikes and Mommy and Daddy pushing.
I had fun watching the girls try on their helmets at the store, here they are smiles, shortly there after they tested the helmets out by hitting each other on the head - good times, a little crying, a little pushing, and some quick walking on my part out of the store - - ah, my angels . . .

Tubby Talk
In last nights tub, the girls used their popsicle sticks as "paint brushes". They each claimed a side of the tub as their own and began to "paint" with water. The sweet part was, each would ask "can I paint on your wall", and when I asked what they where painting Maddy said my family . . . awwwww . . . and Zoe said mountains, and then they went on to tell me all about the different animals they where drawing.
Who needs paint, and paint brushes when all you need is a tub of warm water and popsicle sticks.

Two Little Monkeys
The girls have been taking a tots gymnastics class. Lots of bouncing, running, climbing, hanging off bars, and basic fun. It's great to see them at the park confidently playing on all the structures. I get a kick out of Maddy that tries to catch the attention of anyone who will look her way to show off her skills. The other day it was a little boy, she kept calling over to him "boy, look at me go down the slide", "boy look at me climb the ladder". "Boy" was not so interested.
Need
There is a lot of "I need, and I want" going around at our house these days. At one point, Maddy was stuck on just saying "I need . . . ", and Zoe took up saying "I want . . . ", now they have combined efforts into one " I need . . . ".
I keep telling them Mommy "needs" a lot of things too.

Father's Day 2010
Go Mommy!
Birds of a Feather
Our friend Steph, and her two boys invited us to out to help Swallow birds build their nests this Spring. Steph's friend had a field with bird houses, the kids would hold up feathers and the Swallows would gently take them out of their hands and collect them in their little houses. Super cool. Thanks Steph!
Milk It
Elephant - - pooped!!
We go to the Zoo on occasion. On on of our Spring visits, the girls saw one of the elephants poop. As you can imagine, there was a lot of it . . . wheel barrels full. It made a lasting impression on Maddy. To this day, she still brings it up, to anyone, anywhere, anytime - - good times, especially when I have to explain to strangers what she's talking about.

?
I don't even know where to begin on this post. The girls are really into wearing their swim suits these days, they really wanted to wear the googles Jim and I use for swimming . . . so I put them on. This is basically how Jim got greeted at the door when he got home, later is when this series of pics where taken by Jim. They where playing around in the bathroom, I still can't stop from laughing out loud, especially at the picture with Maddy and her Jazz hands, take notice of her slippers too . . . for added value. The one of them looking up, cracks me up too - weird, but funny.
